Saturday in Central Texas

On Saturday, I went out to central Texas for a photoshoot that would take most of the day. Because my husband had to get some work done in Houston, I got to go by myself and blare loud (mostly Disney!) music the whole way up. It was a hot day, and I spent most of it searching out cold drinks, mostly from Starbucks, while also trying to avoid mosquitos. I did not do a good job on the latter point, as I came home with two dozen bug bites! Anyway, I met a lot of new people and six new dogs while out in the country. Sometimes Houston can be a bit much, so it was nice to get away for a day.

Here are some photos from the day. If you were a guest at the event, please email me for a password to the gallery, which has many more photos. And if you are the people I met at that scenic point, scroll down in this blog post to see the picture I took of you.

Kat and Ruben

I had a great time meeting Devin and her family! The kids were running everywhere and playing with puppies and kartwheeling down the yard.

On my way home, I stopped at a scenic viewpoint. This couple was enjoying the view and I couldn't resist asking if I could take their picture. If you're out there, hello! Let me know if you'd like a full-size download.
