I had the pleasure of going out with the Hendersons to Terry Hershey Park to take photos in the wildflowers. I've been itching to get out and take some traditional Texas bluebonnet portraits because they're a standard part of any Texas photographer's portfolio. We'd heard that the early rains this year might have an effect on how late the bluebonnets would actually last, so I was anxious to get out soon. During my husband's 200 mile relay run through the Texas countryside last week, I snapped a few pictures of the bluebonnets and got excited that they looked like they'd last a few weeks longer.
Then Hilary contacted me! She'd been wanting to take family photos in the bluebonnets for a while too, so we were a perfect match. A long with her husband Clay and daughter Lela, we went out during the early evening and got a few great shots. Lela also became my temporary photography assistant and did a great job getting her parents to smile when it was their turn for a few pictures.
