Let's face it: things don't always go as planned when we want to have our photo taken. My favorite "issue" is wind, because I have learned over the years that a woman (or man with longer hair, of course) with the wind at her back can create a dramatic image. In this case, Amanda took her son, Ezio, to meet her own grandmother, who lives several states away. Amanda wanted nice pictures of these two, but grandma had had a spill in the days before this and wasn't thrilled about having her picture taken. That's where I came in. Amanda sent me her photos and asked me to smooth over some of what made her grandmother reticent to have her photo taken. As you can see, I didn't over-edit; my hope was to stay true to the original image, because it's clearly a great memory otherwise!
